Screening for schools

The film screenings and the special event program will take place online at a date and time of your choice (morning or afternoon “for homework”) or in already open cinemas. You can choose any date of your preference between 14 – 29 June 2021.

A gripping biographical drama of an extraordinary man gifted with healing skills. Starring Ivan and Josef Trojan, directed by Agnieszka Holland.

The accompanying program is prepared in cooperation with the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes. The key themes are the 1940’s and 1950’s in Czechoslovakia and political processes.

Uppercase print

Romania, 128 min. Director: Radu Jude. Cast: Șerban Pavlu, Alexandru Potocean, Ioana Iacob, Constantin Dogioiu, Valcu Silvian. Romanian with Czech subtitles.

A story about a Romanian teenager who protested against communist regime by spraying graffiti. Consequently, he was arrested and interrogated by secret police.

The accompanying program is prepared in cooperation with the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes. The key themes are communism, the 1980’s, the secret police and dissent.

Hungry Bear Tales

Czech republic, 45 min. Director: Alexandra Májová, Kateřina Karhánková. Animated film. Czech version.

The bear friends from the successful band called Hooray! For Fairy Tales are back!

The film screening will be accompanied by an animation workshop.

Entry: 60 CZK / film. Special events by films Charlatan and Uppercase Print is for free. Workshop of animation by the Hungry Bear Tales: 3 500 CZK, capacity  – till 30 children.
