A director’s video-diary from her stay in the Polish Antarctic base where she directed the film FREM (2019) in 2017.
During her stay, the director has chats with artificial intelligence about the character of the film, art and sense of life and these chats reveal a way of thinking without humanity and emotionality, forcing us to a deep self-examination. Daily routine shots at the base contrast with the lyric scene of the virgin Antarctic scenery and include the author’s comments which are provoked by the loneliness of the ice-covered countryside.
Presented at MFDF in Jihlava in 2020.
Awards: Jihlava IDFF 2020: Best World Documentary.
