Dear friends of European film,

Dear viewers and friends of the European film,

within the last year, the situation in culture has dramatically changed. Galleries, theatres, clubs and cinemas could mostly be visited only virtually. We appreciate that owning the organisers’ excellent work it was possible to carry out the next, already 28th, film festival. Days of European Film is an event in the world of film which offers the viewers the most interesting shots from contemporary European cinematography.

The festival’s program is focused on quality European films that are intended for often demanding viewers and which could otherwise hardly find a way to Czech cinemas.

We appreciate that there are films filmed in the Czech Republic, especially in the district of Prague 1 among the program’s tens of listings.

We believe that the selection of movies, chosen themes and genres will attract many viewers who won’t let this year of the festival pass by.

In the name of the city district of Prague 1, I wish many viewers and soon-to-be full screening rooms to the Days of European Film festival, 28th year.
